and Children’s Cultural Centre Belgrade
are organizing
The XXVI International Drawing and Painting Competition Joy of Europe
This year’s International Art Competition, for the twenty sixth time in a row, is calling out to
children and young artists (from 4 to 18 years of age) from all over the world to use their lustrous
palette as a proof that, from the standing point of deep psychology and modern understanding of
art, children’s art has been recognized as having a true creative value.
The expert jury will select works to be exhibited and award prizes and honorary mentions in individual and group competitions and five age categories. Advantage will be given to those works which show an authentic child’s artistic expression and the colorist world.
Chosen works of art will traditionally find its place on the special “Joy of Europe” post stamp issued by the Public Company “Serbian Post Office” each year late in September, with the expert cooperation of the editor of the International Art Competition “Joy of Europe”.
The works which receive awards and honorable mentions will be exhibited in the Gallery of the Children’s Cultural Centre of Belgrade. The guests of the International Art Gathering will also participate in an urban art colony.
