The Belgrade City Administration – Secretariate for Culture And Children’s Cultural Centre Belgrade Open call for
25th INTERNATIONAL ART COMPETITION “JOY OF EUROPE”
This year marks exactly 25 years since the exhibition of the awarded and praised works of art of children from all over the world has become an inseparable part of the traditional children’s festival “Joy of Europe”. Traditionally this year’s international art competition invites children and young artists (4 to 18 years of age) from all over the world to confirm that the children’s opulent pallet of artistic creations is recognised as a true creative value in terms of deep psychology and modern understanding of art.
The essence of international art competitions and the following exhibitions is primarily-Art Gathering, which supports the natural and creative way of living since it represents the only way that enables intellectual, sensory and emotional unity. It also represents a form of establishing dialogue due to the fact that artistic expression is mainly a communicational process.
The exhibition of awarded and praised works will be held at the gallery of the Children’s Cultural Centre Belgrade. The jury will select the works to be exhibited and present the awards to the individual and group competitions in five age groups. Guests of the International Art gathering will participate in the urban art colony.
